| Although I may display a few of those behaviors,
and I will admit that I cross into narcissitic
territory, I would like to pick out the behaviors
that I do NOT exhibit, and I challenge anyone who
really knows me to prove otherwise: I am NOT interpersonally exploitive. I see people as ends in and of themselves, and not a means to an end. I am NOT lacking empathy. I worked for CYF to help less fortunate, and most importantly, innocent children for over nine years! Try to say I am without empathy after that! I am NOT envious of others. I have several friends who have PLENTY to be envious of, but I am simply glad to have them as friends. I'm nowhere near anything that I would think others would be envious of. With that said, I AM the following: -grandiose sense of self-importance -preoccupied with success, power, money, etc. -requires excessive admiration (who doesn't need love) -sense of entitlement -arrogant, haughty behaviors So, by the DSM definition, you are correct. All I have to say about that is................... NO SHIT SHERLOCK!!! What grand world mystery will you solve next??? the best distinction for ALT. While it is true
that he takes pleasure in being an asshole

would fall in line with textbook Narcissistic
personality disorder. Characterized in the DSM as
