The Pennsylvania Pinball Tournament Series
What: A series of tournaments culminating in a freeroll (no entry fee but with payouts) for players who play in 7 of the events.
You will earn points for each event you participate in based on your finish, Using World Pinball Player Ranking Points. The final tournament will be divided up into divisions based on your play in the previous year. All players will also earn WPPR points for the events they participate in.
Final standings will be calculated using your average WPPR points for all of your P.P.T.S. tournaments.
The finals will be played at the 2011 Pittsburgh Pinball Open.
The freeroll pot will grow with each event depending on participants.
The current freeroll pot stands at $339
Right now the events are all based around Pittsburgh PA, but if you are hosting a monthly event or tournament and would like to participate in the P.P.T.S. contact me and we can discuss options. You don't have to be in PA to host. We would love to expand this Tournament Series and really build up the pot! It's also a great loyalty program for the players who play in your tournaments.

Doors open at 11 AM.
Qualifying begins at Noon. Last entries sold at 5 PM.
Anyone can enter, you do not have to have participated in a prior event, and are not obligated to participate in any future events
You will select 3 games from a bank of 6. Scoring will be done in PAPA format for qualifying.
You may enter as many times as you like, however you may only have 1 outstanding entry at a time. Entries will cost $5 for either A or B division. Top 3 places will receive prizes. All entry fees will be paid out in cash and prizes.
The top 8 of the players in each division make the playoffs. Playoffs will be conducted as one on one matches. The highest seed will play the lowest seed in each round. High seed gets first pick of game or order and then the loser of the previous game gets choice of game or order. First round will be a one game elimination, 2nd round will be best of three and the championship match will be a best of 5.
Each division is considered an open division however if you meet any of the following criteria it is strongly suggested you enter A division:
Ranked 18th or higher on coinball.com
Ranked in the top 200 on the IFPA rankings.
Placed in the A division in any of the past 3 tournaments you've entered.
Placed in A division of any of the past 3 PPL seasons or any other pinball league.
Won the B division in any of the past 3 P.P.T.S. events.
The tournament directors, at their discretion, may place any player in a higher division as well.
The Final standings will count towards Pennsylvania Pinball Tournament freeroll. Entrants will also receive WPPR points based on their finish.
